Research Notebooks 3: Quantum Psi and Eastern Vision

Quantum Psychology® and Triadic Therapy

Quantum Psi opens the way to a different conception of the universe and man.

When we started our research we soon realized that many things that Quantum Psychology explained now in the West for the first time, had already been said thousands of years before in the East.

Our experience and practice in Quantum Psi have led us to understand and appreciate such concepts developed many millennia ago that describe well what is the spirit of our techniques.

What we can offer is a pragmatic approach, which we have seen from experience can make it easier for many to obtain a series of meaningful experiences.

In addition Quantum Psi, with the approaches extracted from the Quantum Computing concept, can also give us ways to more fully tap our unconscious potentials without necessarily developing the whole way.

In other words, Quantum Psi contains hundreds of "micro-applications" that allow you to improve yourself right away.

Quantum Psychology, practiced with expert guidance, is the most suitable "way" for a Westerner, as it was born in his own culture.

Our school is also part of CAIRN, a Eurasian academic consortium led by Rene William Leon, also collaborating with Matthieu Ricard, a Western researcher, biologist, and official translator of the Dalai Lama, who has analyzed the effects of meditation with modern Western technologies. His book (The Quantum and the Lotus) in which he analyzes such research has had worldwide success.

Quantum Psychology and Oriental Vision

Quantum Psychology has been around for thirty years, but in reality, Quantum Psi's techniques naturally connect to the Eastern view.

The following is a clarifying example.

Let us now examine the "book of Nothingness" and comment on it based on the "Quantum Psi" model.

Comments on the "book of Nothingness" by Sosan Hsin Ming

Translated from the original Chinese by Richard B. Clarke, Zen Master at Living Dharma Centers, Amherst, Massachusetts and Coventry, Connecticut - translated from English to Italian by Andrea Mosca webmaster ofwww.ebooks4free.net]

The Great Way is not difficult for those who have no preference.

Comment: this is also a principle of Quantum Psi: going beyond our conceptualization (preference) which is expressed in judgments prevents us from seeing reality. Let's remove the conceptualization (preferences) and we will find the way.

When Love and Hate are both absent everything becomes clear and is revealed.

Comment: Quantum Psi brings opposites together with specific techniques and arrives at the 0 or central position. Hate and Love represent two polarities. A principle of Quantum Psychology is: "outside the center, nothing exists without its opposite". This is because the mind works in relationships. Moreover, in this sentence, there is a hint to two emotions typical of the mammalian brain. As we continue in the text we will discover hints of other human minds as well.

But make the smallest distinction, and heaven and earth will be infinitely distant. If you wish to see the truth do not take sides for or against. The struggle between what one wants and what one does not want is the disease of the mind.

Comment: In Quantum Psychology many models have been developed to overcome this "disease of the mind". Mode verbs (wanting) correspond to basic emotional states. And RIP (internal pathological reference) is closely related to this process of wanting - not wanting.

PART I

When the deep meaning of things is not understood the essential peace of mind is disturbed to no avail.

Comment: This is in line with what we observe when we apply Quantum Psychology methods that work on deep states. Achieving deep states of being in which the subject experiences and understands the concept of essential peace of mind is only advantage and can be a pathway to understanding the deeper meaning of things, and returning to the now with a different awareness.

The way is perfect as a vast space in which nothing defects and nothing is in excess.

Comment: It is our conceptualizing that creates lack. Excess or lack with respect to what? In this case, we have moved to more primitive stimuli (lack - abundance) that correspond to the reptilian brain. The book of Nothingness appears to be spontaneously written in triadic language to be understood by all levels of the mind and this explains the apparent repetition of concepts.

In reality, it is up to us to decide whether to accept or reject the fact that we do not see the true nature of things. Live neither in the traps of external things nor in the inner feelings of emptiness.

Comment: One element noted by Quantum Psychology is in today's world RIP, i.e. pathological internal reference. But there is also excessive external reference. Linguistically it is represented by excessive attention on circumstantial complements. RIP, on the other hand, is related to attention to verbs.

Be calm without forcing the activity into the whole of things and such erroneous beliefs will disappear on their own. When you try to stop activity to achieve passivity your own effort permeates you with activity.

Comment: Quantum Psi to resolve stress does not in fact act on relaxation. However, the sentence has more levels and can also refer to brain activity

As long as you remain in one extreme or another you will never know Wholeness. Those who do not live in the single Way neglect both activity and passivity, affirmation and negation.

PART II

To deny the reality of things is to fail to grasp their reality; to assert the vanity of things is to fail to grasp their reality. The more you talk and think about it, the further you get from the truth. Stop talking and thinking and there will be nothing that you will not be able to know.

Comment: This sentence is related to the theory of the triadic mind: it cannot be only the neocortex (cerebral cortex) (talking and thinking is the activity of the cortex) to understand reality. Only the joint operation of minds can allow knowing,.

PART III

Returning to the origins serves to find meaning, but to rely on appearances is to let the cause slip away.

Comment: the cause is in the center, the point where all our efforts are directed. If we go back into our mnemonic traces, we find appearances, directions that we have taken on the basis of our compulsions, not the real cause.

At the moment of inner enlightenment there is a going beyond appearance and emptiness. The changes that seemingly occur in the empty world we only call real because of our ignorance.

This concept is related to the quantum reality of reality.

Don't search for truth; just stop having opinions. Do not remain in a dualistic condition; carefully avoid such pursuit. If there is a trace of this or that, the right and the wrong, the Mind-essence will be lost in confusion.

Quantum Psychology uses two basic language elements to create change: This and That. Two key elements that we have discovered to be incredibly effective in generating change.

Although all dualities come from the One, have no attachment to it either.

Comment: This concept is important because otherwise another concept of "that" is created

When the mind exists undisturbed in the Way, nothing in the world can harm it, and when a thing can no longer harm it, it ceases to exist in the old way.

It is a hint that it is our mind that creates the idea of danger.

When no discriminating thoughts arise, the old mind ceases to exist.

And in fact many people after the understanding of Quantum Psychology testify to us that they feel "refurbished".

PART IV

When the objects of thought vanish, the thinking subject vanishes, for when the mind vanishes, the objects vanish. Things are objects because of the subject; the mind is such because of things.

It is a language that also helps create these dualities: it introduces one cause, one effect, and breaks a process into words

Understand the relativity of these two and the basic reality: the unity of emptiness. In this Void the two are indistinguishable and each contains within itself the whole world. If you do not differentiate between the raw and the fine you will not be tempted to prejudice and opinion.

PART V

Living in the Great Way is neither easy nor difficult, but those with limited views are fearful and unresolved: the more they hurry, the slower they go, and attachment cannot be avoided: even showing attachment to the idea of enlightenment means going astray.

This is the reason for Quantum Psychology's two paths (A and B). In this way everyone can follow the path they prefer

Simply let things be as they are and there will be no coming or going. Obey the nature of things (your own nature), and you will walk free and undisturbed. When thought is in chains the truth is hidden, for all is confused and obscure, and the burdensome practice of judgment brings harassment and weariness. What benefits can come from distinctions and separations? If you want to go the One Way, do not disdain even the world of sensations and ideas.

This last sentence refers to the two higher brains of the triadic mind and is intended to prevent the adept from taking refuge only in the reptilian brain.

In truth, fully accepting them is identical with true Enlightenment.

This is the key concept of the triadic mind

The wise man does not strive for the attainment of any end, but the fool hinders himself. There is only one Dharma, truth, law, not many; distinctions arise from the ignorant's need for attachment. To identify Mind with the discriminating mind is the greatest error of all.

Again on the concept of plurality of minds.

PART VI

Calmness and restlessness come from illusion; with enlightenment there is no what is preferred and what is disliked. All dualities come from unconscious deductions.

The fact that many of our mental processes are unconscious is due to the fact that our mind does not notice things it takes for granted. And if we take certain judgments for granted it means making them unconscious.

They are like dreams of flowers in the air; it is foolish to try to grasp them. Gain and loss, right and wrong: these thoughts must finally be eliminated immediately.

Comment: These are thoughts of the reptilian brain

If the eye never sleeps, all dreams will naturally cease.

Comment: This sentence is metaphorical. Dreams are the appearances of life. The eye, consciousness.

If the mind does not discriminate, the ten thousand things are as they are, of only essence. To understand the mystery of this One-essence is to be freed from all impediments.

This is the concept of "objective state".

When all things are considered impartially, the Self-essence is attained. No comparison or analogy is possible state without cause and relations.

PART VII

Consider stillness in motion and stillness in movement, and both states of motion and stillness will disappear.

Comment: in a few words the author introduces the concept behind the theory of relativity, also central in Quantum Psychology

When such dualities cease to exist the Wholeness itself cannot exist. No law or description can apply to that ultimate finality.

For the unified mind in accord with the Way all aspirations coming from the self end.

Unified Mind is an important concept

Doubts and indecisions vanish and life in pure faith is possible. With one stroke we are freed from bondage; nothing sticks to us and we hold nothing back. Everything is empty, clear, self-illuminating, without the use of the energy of the mind. Here thought, sensation, knowledge and imagination are of no value.

Beyond the perception of the triadic mind: there is a position where the three minds are relaxed and do not interpret based on what they already contain.

PART VIII

In this world of Similitude there is no such thing as self or other-than-self either. To get directly in tune with this reality when doubts arise simply say "Not Two." In this "not two" nothing is separate, nothing is excluded. No matter when or where, enlightenment means penetrating this truth. And this truth is beyond the extension or diminution of time or space; in it a single thought lasts ten thousand years.

This is one of several ways of hinting at the central state. Since it cannot be defined in words, we use negation.

PART IX

Vacuity here, Vacuity there, but the infinite universe always remains before our eyes. Infinitely large and infinitely small; no difference, for definitions have disappeared and no limits are seen. So too about Being and non-Being. Don't waste time on doubts and discussions that have nothing to do with it. One thing, all things: they move and mingle, without distinction. Living in this realization means being free of anxiety about non-perfection. Living in such faith is the way to non-dualism, for the non-dual is one with the trusting mind. Words. The Way is beyond language, for in it there is no

No yesterday

No tomorrow

No today.

The last sentence refers to the fact that time is an invention of the mind. That is why we operate so easily on space-time coordinates.... Instead, the previous sentence hints at realization.
